Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to personal information in connection with the website at purescale.online. The site is published by Multi.kuk.shop s.r.o., Nýdecká 446, Letňany, 199 00 Praha 9, Czech Republic, company registration 29790824, reachable at info@purescale.online. Multi.kuk.shop s.r.o. decides what happens to the information described below and is responsible for it.

Personal information is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, which are published by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/australian-privacy-principles. Because that framework has thirteen principles, this policy simply walks through them in order and says what each one means here.

This policy covers purescale.online and nothing else. Links on this site lead to other organisations' websites, including the vendor page we link to as a paid affiliate link and the Australian government sites cited in the course. Those sites are run by other people under their own privacy policies, and this policy has no effect on them.

APP 1 — Open and transparent management of personal information

The whole of the handling is described on this page, in ordinary language, and the page is linked from the footer of every page on the site. Questions about it go to info@purescale.online and are answered by people working for Multi.kuk.shop s.r.o. There is no separate internal policy that contradicts or supplements what is written here.

APP 2 — Anonymity and pseudonymity

You can read every page of this site without identifying yourself. Nothing asks for a name and nothing is required before content is shown.

If you write to us, you may use a pseudonymous email address and a name that is not your own, and we will answer anyway. The one exception is a request for access to or correction of personal information under APP 12 or APP 13: we cannot act on that unless we can reasonably satisfy ourselves that the request comes from the person the information is about.

APP 3 — Collection of solicited personal information

Two categories exist, and there is no third.

(a) Server access logs. Our hosting provider records ordinary web server logs for each request: the IP address the request came from, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page where the browser sends one, and the user-agent string identifying the browser and operating system.

(b) The content of emails sent to info@purescale.online. That is, your email address, any name you include, the text of your message, and any attachment you choose to send.

(c) Nothing else is collected. There is no form, no input field, no newsletter, no account, no login, no comment system, no progress saving and no quiz anywhere on this site. There are no cookies. There is no localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB. There are no analytics, no advertising tags, no tracking pixels, no web fonts, no embedded video, no social widgets and no third-party scripts of any kind. The site does not profile readers and does not track anyone across other websites. Every page loads only files served from purescale.online, so your browser makes no request to any other server while reading it.

APP 4 — Dealing with unsolicited personal information

Sometimes an email contains personal information we did not ask for and do not need in order to reply. Where it is lawful and reasonable to do so, that material is deleted. Where it cannot be deleted — because it is needed in connection with a legal claim, for example — it is kept under the same conditions as the rest of the mailbox.

APP 5 — Notification of the collection of personal information

This page is the notification, and it is given in advance rather than afterwards. The two categories in APP 3 are the complete list; the purposes are set out under APP 6; how long each is kept is set out under APP 11; and who receives each is set out under APP 8. If you have reached this page before writing to us, you already know everything we would otherwise have to tell you at the point of collection.

APP 6 — Use or disclosure of personal information

Access logs are used for three purposes only: keeping the site secure, identifying and preventing abuse, and diagnosing faults. Email content is used for one purpose only: reading your message and replying to it.

Neither category is used for anything else. Personal information from this site is never sold, rented, traded, or shared with anyone for marketing. It is disclosed outside Multi.kuk.shop s.r.o. only to the service providers named under APP 8, who hold it in order to run the server and the mailbox, and to a court, regulator or law enforcement body where the law requires us to disclose it.

APP 7 — Direct marketing

We do not carry out direct marketing. There is no mailing list, no newsletter and no way to subscribe to one. We do not send course reminders, progress emails or promotional messages, and an email address you write to us from is never added to any list. If you write to us, you get a reply to your message and nothing further.

APP 8 — Cross-border disclosure of personal information

Two recipients exist, and no others. Our hosting provider holds the access logs because it runs the server. Our email service provider holds the mailbox because it runs the email. Both act on our instructions.

Neither provider is named here because we do not publish which companies we use. Both may store or process data outside Australia, including in countries whose privacy laws differ from Australian law. Multi.kuk.shop s.r.o. is itself established in the Czech Republic, so information reaching us is handled there. If a provider's identity matters to you, write to info@purescale.online and ask.

APP 9 — Government related identifiers

This principle has no application here. Multi.kuk.shop s.r.o. does not adopt, use or disclose any government related identifier in connection with this site, and this site has no reason to encounter one.

APP 10 — Quality of personal information

The only personal information we hold about a reader is what that reader has written to us, so its accuracy is almost entirely in your hands. If something we hold about you is wrong, out of date or incomplete, tell us and we will correct it. We do not enrich, append, infer or buy information about readers from anybody.

APP 11 — Security and retention of personal information

The site is served over HTTPS. There is no database behind it and no stored submissions, because nothing can be submitted. The hosting account and the mailbox are reachable only by people working for Multi.kuk.shop s.r.o., using individual credentials.

We claim no certification and no compliance with any standard beyond what is written on this page.

Retention is as follows. Access logs are kept for 30 days and are then deleted or overwritten in the ordinary course. Emails are kept for 24 months after the last message in the conversation, and are then deleted, unless a particular message must be kept longer because it is needed in connection with an actual or anticipated legal claim.

APP 12 — Access to personal information

You may ask what personal information we hold about you and ask for a copy of it. Send an email to info@purescale.online with the words "Privacy request" in the subject line. There is no charge for making a request. We will reply within 30 days. If we refuse all or part of a request, we will say why in writing and tell you how to complain.

APP 13 — Correction of personal information

You may ask us to correct personal information we hold about you. Use the same address and the same subject line, say what is wrong and what it should say, and we will reply within 30 days. If we decline to make a correction we will say why, and you may ask us to attach a statement of your view to the information we hold.

Affiliate links and what happens when you follow one

Some links on this site are paid affiliate links. Following one takes you off purescale.online to a page operated by someone else. From that moment, the vendor of World of Tanks and the affiliate network that operates the link may set cookies or use similar technology on their own domains in order to record that the visit came from us. That happens under their privacy policies, not this one, and we have no control over it.

What we receive back is a commission report from the affiliate network: counts of referrals and of qualifying sign-ups, and the amounts owed. We use those reports to reconcile payments and for nothing else. We do not ask the network for information identifying individual readers, and we do not try to match any report against anything on this site.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled personal information, write to info@purescale.online. We will acknowledge the complaint and respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, which explains the process at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints.

Data breaches

If we become aware of unauthorised access to, unauthorised disclosure of, or loss of personal information connected with this site, we assess it promptly. Where the assessment shows that serious harm to an individual is likely, we notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at people under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information about children, and because there is no form, no account and no tracking, the site collects nothing capable of identifying one. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

If you are in the European Union, the EEA or the United Kingdom

Multi.kuk.shop s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so European data protection law also applies to this site.

The lawful basis for keeping server access logs is our legitimate interests in keeping the site secure, preventing abuse and diagnosing faults. The lawful basis for handling the content of an email is taking steps to respond to the enquiry you have chosen to send us. There is no consent basis for anything, because there are no cookies and no tracking on this site to consent to.

You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to have it rectified, to have it erased, to have its processing restricted, to receive it in a portable form, and to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests. Use info@purescale.online for any of these.

You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority where we are established: the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (Office for Personal Data Protection), uoou.gov.cz.

Changes to this policy

When this policy is revised, the effective date at the top is updated. Where a change materially affects how personal information is handled, a note describing it is shown at the top of this page for 30 days from the new effective date.
